Recognising the important role of speciality crops in UK agriculture, Arysta LifeScience is delighted to sponsor a category of the Farmers Weekly Awards.

The Specialist Crop Producer of the Year category is an award open to all growers of non-combinable crops such as field-scale vegetables, flowers, fruit, soft fruit, pharmaceutical crops and grapes for wine production.

The winner, announced at a glittering awards night on October 5, will need to demonstrate success in productivity and profitability, a strong customer-focus, as well as the application of innovation to drive greater efficiency and quality.

Bruce Morton, Arysta LifeScience Country Manager for UK & Ireland, said: “Although around half of UK arable business is dedicated to cereal crop production, it is important to recognise the hard work and innovation taking place within speciality crops.

“These specialist growers are making a considerable contribution to the self-sufficiency of the UK, enabling us as a country to deliver home-grown produce of the highest quality.

“As a company that takes pride in delivering fully-integrated crop protection solutions for a wide range of crops, we are delighted to support this sector of our industry.”

Now in their 13th year, the highly-coveted Farmers Weekly Awards will take place at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London. The awards celebrate the very best of British farming by recognising and rewarding innovation, hard work and passion for agriculture.
